The  kenya safari trip, masai mara, Amboseli safari tours involves a little bit of drinving. The amboseli to masai mara distance is approximated to be  560 km apart and that is roughly 6 to 7 hrs drive at a standard speed of 80km/hr that is allowed by the Kenyan low for all vehicles


Detailed Itinerary

Day 0 – Arrival : Upon arrival at the jomo Keyatta international airport Nairobi, You will be met and welcomed by our airport representative, short briefing about the trip and then later follow by a transfer to the hotel of your choice for overnight stay. (Kindly advise the name of the hotel).

Day 1 – Nairobi – Masai Mara Safaris  in Kenya – Wildrace Africa  Kenya Safari Holidays

Pick up from your hotel at 0730 hrs and drive via the scenic Great Rift Valley, to the Mara Reserve arriving in good time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Mara Ilkeliani Tented  lodge/ Mara Leisure Luxury tented camp / Mara Sopa Lodge / Mara sentrim Luxury tented lodge / Mara Elengata luxury tented camp or any of similar.

Day 2 - Masai Mara Safari tour Discovery  – Wildrace Africa Wildebeest Migration trails )

Full day spent exploring the park trailing wildebeest migration optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Ilkeliani Tented/ Mara Leisure Luxury tented camp / Mara Sopa Lodge / Mara sentrim Luxury tented lodge / Mara Elengata luxury tented camp or any of similar.
The Masai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara.

Day 3 – Masai Mara Great Migration Trails – Wildrace Africa Meet the Big Five in action

Another full day spent trailing the big five as they also trail the wildebeest and other antelopes for their dinner. This is another great day for further game drives in the vast Masai Mara plains in search of the big 5, picnic lunch served in the park. Diner and overnight at the camp/lodge as mentioned above.
A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Masai Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to October. The reserve abounds with birdlife since dose to about 452 species have been recorded. Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park.
NB: The lodges are stroked to help us have a backup plan just in case we don’t get one we fall for the next but both are of same standard.

Day 4 - Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park Tours – Wildrace Africa splendid Safari tours

Breakfast then drive Lake Nakuru National park- to arrive in good time for lunch at Flamingo hill lodge  afternoon game drives a the scenic park famed for numerous species of bird life especially the pink flamingoes .Dinner and overnight stay at Flamingo Hill Lodge
Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, renowned for its spectacular flamingo population as one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles. Although Lake Nakuru is primarily a bird sanctuary, there are a considerable number of animals to be encountered, such as many large game animals such as zebras, elephants and gazelles, this is one of our best chances of seeing rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. Here is one of the few places where we can see Rothschild’s giraffes.

Day 5 -Lake Nakuru to Amboseli Safari tour - Legitimate Africa Travel Safari tour Amboseli National Park

After a hot breakfast in the lodge you will check-out and proceed to the Amboseli National Park; with a stopover in Nairobi to enjoy lunch overlooking the foothills of Magnificent Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Upon arrival, you will check-in, take some time to rest from your journey and then depart for an afternoon game drive. YOu will return at sunset for dinner and your overnight stay at either Amboseli Kibo Luxury Tented Camp, Amboseli Sopa Lodge, or Amboseli AA Lodge. Upgrade options for accommodations can be arranged ahead of time per your prior request.

Day 6 -  Full day spent exploring Amboseli National Park – Wildrace Africa Safari tour trip Amboseli National park experience

Before dawn you will take off on an early morning game drive, returning to your lodge for a late breakfast. The mid morning will be at your leisure with time for a hot lunch followed by some more time to rest and enjoy the surroundings. You will depart for an early afternoon for another exciting game drive in this park well known for the largest number of elephants. You will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay later in the evening.

Day 7 -  Amboseli National Park tour back to Nairobi – Wildrace Africa Safari Tours and Adventures

After breakfast you will depart for Nairobi; taking part in your final game drive along the way as well as a stopover for lunch. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped-off at your hotel or taken to the airport to connect with your return flight home. There is the option of dinner at Carnivore Restaurant if your outbound flight is late. This is where your safari ends with airport drop off.
