Arrive in Nairobi. You will be met and transferred to the Eka Hotel just 10 minutes from the airport. We find this one works best for those arriving on the BA flight which lands in the evening. You can get some rest ready to your flight to the Mara next day. We have many different hotels in Nairobi including those near the airport, those in the National Park and also some in the leafy suburb of Karen so your choice will depend on when you arrive and what you wish to do with your time. After breakfast you will be met and transferred to Nairobi Wilson airport for your flight to the Mara. On arrival at the airstrip you will be met by your safari vehicle and driver/guide and can enjoy a first game drive en route to the camp arriving in time for lunch. Twice daily game drives are included on the subsequent days as well as plenty of time to relax or arrange an optional activity such as a game walk or balloon ride. After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. On arrival at Nairobi Wilson Airport our representative will meet you and will transfer you to Hemingways Nairobi, a wonderful hotel in leafy Karen, in time for lunch where you have a day room booked. After lunch relax and freshen-up before you are transferred to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage for a visit at 17h00. During your one hour visit, the baby elephants come in from their play time in the park to the stalls to be fed their milk. The visitors can watch them and visit the elephants and the wardens who are on hand to explain the work of the orphanage and to answer any questions. To date the orphanage has successfully hand-raised over 150 infant elephants and has accomplished its long-term conservation priority by effectively reintegrating orphaned elephants back into the wild herds of Tsavo West and East. After your visit, you will be transferred to Pampa Churrascaria Restaurant for dinner. Following dinner, you will be transferred to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
