Upon landing at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and received by one of Wildrace Africa Safari tours and travel airport staff who will then connect you to your driver for the transfer to your hotel/ Wilson Airport for your flight to Masai Mara National park fly into Masai Mara Governors airstrip. Flight to Masai Mara takes close to 45 min flying over the scenically beautiful Great Rift Valley. On arrival in the Masai Mara you will be met at the airstrip and driven the short distance to camp. Lunch in camp, then head out for afternoon game drive to explore the Masai Mara National Reserve. Returning to camp for pre-dinner drinks around the camp fire, dinner and overnight.
There is the option this morning for an early morning hot air balloon safari (extra charge) and needs to be organized in good time by your Legitimate Africa Travel Safari tours and holidays travel expert. If you opt for the hot air balloon experience over the savannah plains, the balloon trip representative will be at the camp for a briefing about the balloon ride and thenpick you up again for the balloon flight the next day as per the time agreed. Depart the camp at 5.15am to the Balloon Safari take off site at Little Governors’. A fabulous I hour Hot Air Balloon safari across the plains of the Masai Mara . On landing enjoy a champagne bush breakfast, freshly cooked in the middle of the Mara plains. Game drive back to camp. Spend the morning relaxing before lunch at the camp, afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight at Governors Camp.

The main camp and also the far smaller Il Moran sit on wonderful meanders in the river while Little Governors is reached by a small boat across the river and faces a beautiful marsh area where elephant and giraffe are regular visitors. Each camp has a different feel to it. You have five days to really explore this area from the golden plains where cheetah and plain games can be seen to the wooded areas around the river - leopard territory. Elephants move freely between the forest and plains and can be seen in large family herds - a real highlight. Look out for Blossom the elephant - a regular visitor in camp.
Other Animals includes the wildebeest, zebras, impalas, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs and lions are just but some of the animals found in the Mara. This vast concentration of game is courtesy of the reliable rains and plenty of vegetation that supports the animals within. The Masai Mara National Reserve is the northern extension of the Serengeti Plains in Tanzania.
Optional extras available from Governors’ Camps in addition to the three daily game drives, are:- Hot Air Balloon Safari, Guided Game walking safaris with one of the Camps’ resident professional guides, followed by a full cooked champagne bush breakfast. Exciting flying safaris to Lake Victoria for fishing and birdwatching at Mfangano Island Camp can also be arranged.
Early morning game-drive at sunrise, followed by breakfast at the camp. Late morning game drive, and a delicious lunch back at the camp. After lunch transfer to the airstrip to catch the scheduled flight departing at 4:00pm for Nairobi. Arriving at Wilson Airport at 5.00pm. Where you will be met and transferred to a restaurant for dinner (Dinner to be paid direct). After dinner transfer to Jomo Kenyatta Inernational Airport for your flight home.
