Game Viewing: In the southern part of the park, you are guaranteed to see most of the Kenyan animals found in Samburu, namely: cheetahs, lions, leopards, impalas, buffalo, hippos, and dik-diks, as well as the native gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa Oryx. You are guaranteed to see most animals during the dry season as they converge at the Usaso Nyiro River, their main source of water during the long dry weather. Elephants are also spotted during this time, and you can watch the Nile crocodiles swim in the river.

Your safari begins from Nairobi at 7.30 AM when we pick you from your hotel or the airport. We drive for 2 hours through the rift valley escarpment and on to Lake Elementaita Kenya. Check in at The Pelican Lodge at Lake Elementaita Kenya, relax and have lunch. In the afternoon take a walk along the shores of Lake Elementaita to view the bird life that includes the pelicans, the flamingos and a host of other bird species. After a hearty breakfast at 7:30 AM you will be driven to the lake Nakuru national park. In this park you will be able to view the myriads of flamingos, the rhinos grazing on the lake shore. Lake Nakuru is rhino sanctuary and you can also see other wildlife species like the zebras, buffaloes and the elephants. At 1.00pm leave the park and return to the lodge for a hot lunch. In the afternoon take a swim or just relax at your cottage balcony to enjoy the magnificent views of lake Elementaita. Dinner and overnight at The Pelican Lodge at Lake Elementaita Kenya.
After your breakfast drive for 5 hrs through Narok, to the Maasai Mara National Reserve to arrive in time for lunch at The Ol Moran Tented Camp at Maasai Mara Kenya. After lunch, take a game-drive in this world-famous reserve. Offering an abundance of herbivores, the Mara makes the ideal hunting ground for Kenya's famous big cats and hosts her largest population of lions. It also offers the best chance of spotting a leopard in the wild. Other predators include cheetah and spotted hyena. All meals and overnight at the Ol Moran Tented Camp at Maasai Mara Kenya.
After breakfast take a full day game drive with picnic lunch. Historically teaming with wildlife, the Mara is famous for the large herds of elephant and buffalo that meander its plains; also for the fat pods of hippo that wallow in its mud-brown rivers. Other stars include the distinctive Maasai giraffe, plum-colored topi, Coke's hartebeest, Grant's and Thomson's gazelle, zebra, impala, Kirk's dik-dik, bush buck, water buck and red duiker. The Reserve also boasts plentiful Nile crocodile, monitor lizard, baboon, vervet, blue and red-tailed monkeys, nocturnal bush babies, and tree hyrax. Today you wake up early to a pre breakfast game ride, this will give you a chance to locate the shy animals. Return to the Ol Moran Tented Camp at Maasai Mara Kenya for breakfast at 09:30 hours, and then drive back to Nairobi arriving in the midafternoon where your safari ends.
