This is a great safari for a first-time visit to East Africa Kenya as it tours many iconic landscapes with a greater opportunity to witness a huge diversity of wildlife and peoples culture.
The Safarui accommodations in both of these parks; Tsavo east / Tsavo west / Amboseli / Lake Naivasha / Lake Nakuru / Masai Mara National Park Tours and Safaris lodges and tented camps varied - from a rustic tented camp in Masai Mara with a superb view, to a luxurious escarpment lodge overlooking  Tsavo river.  This safari would pair exceptionally well with an extension to the beaches of Mombasa or zanzibbar by flight.

 

 

 


Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Airport Pick up / Tsavo East National Park Safaris – Wildrace Africa Kenya Safari Tours.

Morning pick up from airport and then drive to Tsavo east National park on the early  explorers roote Nairobi – Mombasa highway enjoying the scenic dawn drive  heads to the Northern  entry gate of Tsavo east  where we stop briefly for refreshments. Enter the Tsavo and commence game viewing drives.
Relax and later join the afternoon game viewing drive after the midday sun / heat.
The Game viewing drive takes us on the trails of the big five with magnificent views of the African sunset before returning to our lodging. Dinner and overnight shall be at your Aruba Safari lodge/ Tsavo safari lodge/ tented camp or any of similar. Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner.

Day 2: Full day spent exploring Tsavo east National Park – African Habitat Safari tours and Adventures

You will have your breakfast before you start a game drive. You will visit the different sections of the park especially the loop side of the park which is swampy and most animals are found there. Visit the pipeline area where most of elephants gather, since there are lots of water holes to do mud bathing. Next, you will visit the Lugard Falls and Yatta Plateau.

Day 3: Tsavo East- Tsavo West: 80 kms Appx 1.5 hrs – African Habitat Tsavo west and East Safaris

Morning breakfast and then get ready before sunrise in our anticipation of the morning game drive! It is a good chance to see the big cats while they are hunting, especially lions.
All ingredients for a wonderful day are in place. Enjoy the Legitimate Africa Travel splendor of an African sunrise dominates the natural world as we traverse the vast park in search of the early grazers and predators.
A final game viewing drive at the Tsavo east shall follow as we leave the park. We shall proceed to the  Tsavo West where we continue on  game viewing drives.
This afternoon we visit the  Rhino Sanctuary where the endangered species are  protected. Overnight at your  Tsavo west safari  lodge/ tented camp / ngulia Safari lodge or any of similar.
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 4: Tsavo West National Park to Amboseli Safari tour – African Habitat safaris – Tours and Holidays Travel : 100kms Appx 2 hrs:

“The early bird catches the worm, we embark on an early morning game and scenery viewing drive.
Sunrise catches us as we explore the Tsavo west national park. The African habitat  unfolds amid the freshness and beauty of the morning. We drink in the scenic beauty of this awesome  park .
We head to  Mzima Springs to view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish and a variety of bird species.
The greenery surrounding the underground  springs is a welcome contrast to the dry  terrain that form Tsavo West national park. Later  proceed  to  Amboseli national park to arrive during late morning.
Relax until late afternoon when we set out to explore the Amboseli national park in a game viewing drive.
This is  a leisurely game viewing drive with animals easily seen and with the bulk of mount  Kilimanjaro providing an awesome  back-drop for wildlife photography. Clouds may open up and the sight of   snow peaked mount Kilimanjaro shall mersmerize. Overnight at an Amboseli Kibo Luxury tented camp / Amboseli Sopa safari lodge/ tented camp.

Day 5: Amboseli National Park safari tours to Lake Nakuru Safaris – African Habitat safari tours and Holidays Adventures

We shall be early again with an erly morning game viewing drive exploring the park. Sunrise and emergence of the mount Kilimanjaro peak from the clouds is dramatic “weather permitting”.
Marvel at the sights as we enjoy our breakfast and later exit the park and drive to Lake Nakuru a less than 5 Hrs drive and you will pass through the Great Rift Valley escarpment, you will arrive in time for lunch and check in at Sarova lion hill Lodge. Afternoon game drive across the Pink Lake often referred so due to it’s Great masses of Flamingos but currently due to climate change and high water level only few flamingos can be seen not forgetting the famous white Rhino and black rhino found in this park. Dinner and overnight at Sarova lion hill Lodge/ Lake Nakuru Lodge / Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or any of similar

Day 6: Lake Nakuru /Lake Naivasha Safaris - African Habitat safaris – Tours and Holidays Travel

Early morning game drive later you break for breakfast. After breakfast check out with an extended game drive in Lake Nakuru National park, back to the lodge for Hot lunch and later exit and drive to Lake lake Naivasha, drive is One hour’s drive arriving by evening. Proceed  and check inn at Lake Naivasha  Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight at Sopa Lodge Naivasha / Naivasha country club.

Day 7: Full day spent exploring Lake Naivasha Hell’s gate National Park – African Habitat Safaris and Tour Travel Adventures

Lake Naivasha  getawaysis one of its own kind giving you a greater opportunity of game viewing and other fun activities such as cycling, walking, hiking and horseback riding.
Lake Naivasha is a picnic and camping spot and a bird watcher’s paradise. During your full day safari stay in Naivasha, we will visit Hell's Gate National Park which has over 100 species of birds including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, augur buzzard, and swifts for a game drive.
Lake Naivasha Wildlife includes: African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons are also common. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope and Chanler's mountain reedbuck.
This day we explore the Naivasha and its environs, You will also visit Crescent Island Game Park a peninsular and is accessible by boat from East or West as well as by road for guided walk amongst animals. Crescent Island has an abundance of animals including Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Buffalo, Waterbuck, Wildebeest, Zebra,Impala, Python, Mongoose, Jackal etc. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: Lake Naivasha /  Maasai Mara Safaris - African Habitat safaris – Tours and Holidays Travel

Early morning breakfast. After breakfast leave Lake Naivasha for Masai Mara a 5 Hrs drive, you will pass through Narok town the famous Masai town. you arrive in time for lunch. Check in at Ashnil Mara camp or Sarova Mara game Camp and have lunch. Afternoon game drives through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and a visit to Mara River. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Mara camp / Sarova Mara game Camp / Mara Ashnil Luxury tented camp.

Day 9: Masai Mara full day ( Wildebeest Migration trails ) – African Habitat Safari tours and Holidays Adventures

Full day  spent exploring the park trailing wildebeest migration  optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Ilkeliani Tented
The Masai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara National Game reserve.

Day 10 & 11 – Masai Mara Great Migration Trails and the Big five Encounters - African Habitat Safari tours and Holidays Adventures

Check out of Ilkeliani Tented camp / Mara sarova game lodge / Mara sopa lodge and proceed for further game drives in the vast Masai Mara plains in search of the big 5 – Check inn at Mara Ashnil Luxury camp where you spend 2 nights as you trail the wildebeest herds .
A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Masai Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to October. The reserve abounds with birdlife since dose to about 452 species have been recorded. Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park
Early morning game drives and returns to camp for breakfast. After breakfast Full day in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents, The Masai Mara plains are full of wildebeest during migration season early July to end September, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson's gazelle are regularly seen, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes. Black rhino are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky. Hippos are abundant in the Mara River as are very large Nile crocodiles, which lay in wait for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest to find new pastures. Later Meals and overnight at Ashnil Mara camp or Sarova Mara game Camp.

Day 12: Masai Mara safari / Nairobi – African Habita Safari tours and Adventures

Early Morning breakfast at your camp check out of the camp and park and Drive to Nairobi a 5 Hrs drive arriving in time for lunch. Lunch at carnivore afterwards drop off at your respective hotel or Airport around 3pm. ( Optional to our clients with evening Flights) - if you have evening flight you can do more.
