DAY 2: Mount Kenya Safaris - Wildrace Africa Safaris in Kenya
After breakfast check-out and visit the Giraffe Centre where you will have the opportunity to feed these elegant animals. You will then be transferred to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to see the baby elephants that have been rescued. These elephants are rehabilitated for release back to the wild. To date the orphanage has successfully hand-raised over 150 infant elephants and has accomplished its long-term conservation priority by effectively reintegrating orphaned elephants back into the wild herds of Tsavo. Following your visit, enjoy lunch at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden before heading off to the Mount Kenya region where you will arrive at Serena Mountain Lodge in the late afternoon. Serena Mountain Lodge has the feel of a ski chalet and is situated in the forest at the foot of Mount Kenya at an altitude of over 1,900 metres. Throughout the day and night forest animals visit the waterhole and saltlick, ensuring you of many exciting moments. The rest of the day is at leisure watching game from your room. DAY 3 – 4: Ol Pejeta Sweet waters Safaris - Wildrace Africa Safaris in Kenya
After breakfast depart the lodge and head off to Ol Pejeta Conservancy with a picnic lunch enroute. Enjoy game viewing in the afternoon. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 90,000-acre (360 km2) not-for-profit wildlife conservancy in Central Kenya's Laikipia County. It is situated on the equator west of Nanyuki, between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya. The Conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and in 2013, reached a population milestone of 100 black rhino. It also houses the two remaining northern white rhino in the world. The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is situated here, and provides a haven for orphaned, abandoned and rescued chimpanzees. DAY 5 – 6 Lake Elementaita Safaris – Wildrace Africa Safaris in Kenya
After breakfast you will depart Sweetwaters and journey to Lake Elementaita. Arrive at Lake Elementaita Serena Camp in time for lunch. After lunch there is a short rest before your afternoon game drive. Opened in 2011, the exclusive Lake Elementaita Serena Camp rests in the 48,000-acre Soysambu Conservancy – a sanctuary to rare wildlife including abundant bird species and East Africa’s only nesting site for the Great White Pelican. In total, the conservancy protects over 450 bird species, and is also a safe breeding ground for the Rothschild giraffe. The following day you will visit Lake Nakuru, made famous by its pink flamingos although we always hope to see rhino grazing on the shore! Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp
DAY 7 – 9: The Masai Mara Safari tours and packages - Wildrace Africa Safaris in Kenya
Today’s drive takes you through The Great Rift Valley, the longest rift in the crust of the earth, to the Masai Mara. You will spend three nights in this natural paradise among zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, buffalo, elephant, antelope and gazelle. There is a good chance of spotting cheetah and if you are lucky, the shy leopard. You will arrive at Mara Serena Safari Lodge in time for a late lunch. After lunch enjoy a short rest before departing on your afternoon game drive, returning to the lodge in time for dinner. DAY 10: Masai mara Tours and Travel - Wildrace Africa Safaris in Kenya
Today you will head back to Nairobi where you will have use of a day room at the Nairobi Serena until your transfer back to the airport for your flight.
